Recently, Dr. Panichkul, a senior lecturer of hip direct anterior approach in Bangkok, Thailand, came to our hospital for academic exchanges with orthopedics. All medical staffs of the orthopedics attended the meeting.

The academic exchange is divided into two parts: technical experience sharing and on-site guidance. At the meeting, Director Zeng Yong introduced the medical status of orthopedics in our hospital and proposed that this academic exchange should be based on the experience of Dr. Panichkul, the senior lecturer from Bangkok, Thailand to improve the technical level of orthopedics and make hip replacement on the road in minimally invasive to a new level. Dr. Panichkul explained in detail the advantages of the direct Anterior Approach (DAA) to the traditional hip replacement surgery, and gave surgical guidance. DAA can perform surgery through the interstitial muscles, effectively reducing postoperative complications, speeding up the patient's recovery process and achieving early rehabilitation exercises.

In the next step, our hospital will continue to strengthen international academic exchanges, improve the medical technology level and contribute to the creation of “Healthy Chengdu”.
